You know you're in Germany when...

Christmas Day and Decorations.

We decided we would spend our limited amount of money on presents only this year instead of wasting it on decorations. Here are our few decorations that we did make.
Paper Snow Flakes
A Christmas tree out of some 2 euro branches, stuffed in a pot.
And a Merry Christmas Sign cut out of the old cornflakes box.

CHRISTMAS MORNING
Me wearing my jammies from the Frost family
Our Christmas treats and advent candles

Mike with his hat stocking
We both needed a warm hat for the winter, so those were our stockings.

You know you're married to Mike when...

he begs you to buy a 1/2 meter Käsewurst (cheese sausage) and you have to listen to "Uum...ooh...yum...this is so good" for the next ten minutes.

You know it's Christmas in Germany when...

the only Christmas carols you hear outside of church are sung by drunk men riding carousels. If you can't tell, and I'm sure you can't, they're trying to sing "Oh Christmas Tree." (O Tannenbaum!)

You know you're in Germany when...

This woman is in charge of the music in your ward.
But don't worry, she doesn't wear that skirt to church.

You know you're in Germany when...

Cool Ranch Doritos are called Cool American!

This just proves to me that no matter how much they mock and resent Americans, they secretly think we're cool!
